Malgré que le traitement de sa femme se passe très bien, Coen doit encore rester pour s'occuper de sa famille durant la dernière phase du traitement et ce jusqu'au 5 novembre. Il reviendra donc pour la seconde partie de la tournée européenne à Grenoble (donc aux dates françaises et au Epica Metal Fest, il sera présent). Par contre, cette fois-ci, c'est Ruben Wijga de ReVamp qui le remplacera d'ici là. Voici le message de Coen :
Dear fans,
I’m sorry to inform you that I will not be joining Epica for the first half of the upcoming European Tour. Although Linda’s treatment is going very well and we will soon be putting this chapter behind us, I am needed at home to take care of her and our children during the last chemo-period. I’ll be joining the band again from the show in Grenoble.
There will be no empty spot on stage this time! I’m honored that Ruben Wijga (REVAMP) will be replacing me and I am sure he’ll do a great job!
